Posljednja desetljeća obilježena su jedinstvenim razvojem znanosti i tehnologije. Ovaj razvoj potiče promjene u svim poljima ljudskog iskustva te donosi sa sobom različite procese globalizacije. Procesi globalizacije drukčije utječu na velike i male zemlje. Globalna okolina u kojoj živimo nudi malim zemljama nove načine ekonomskog, političkog i drugih vrsta pozicioniranja vlastite moći i utjecaja.
Mogućnosti i izazove koji su vezani uz položaj i ulogu malih zemalja u globalnoj okolini želimo istražiti kroz različita polja i grane poput:

• ekonomije
• politologije
• nacionalne i međunarodne sigurnosti
• demografije i migracija
• turizma
• prometa
• prava
• psihologije i sociologije
• filozofije, religije, kulturnih istraživanja, umjetnosti itd.

Rok za predaju radova je 1. 9. 2015., a rok za predaju sažetaka 15. 7. 2015.

Sveučilište Sjever i  Odeska državna akademija za mjeriteljstvo i standardizaciju potpisali su Ugovor o međunarodnoj suradnji koji uključuje razmjenu nastavnika i studenata, mogućnost upisa na poslijediplomske studije Odeske akademije, suradnju u organizaciji međunarodnih konferencija te suradnju na međunarodnim projekatima.

U posjeti Odeskoj državnoj akademiji za mjeriteljstvo i standardizaciju bili su zaposlenici Odjela za graditeljstvo Sveučilišta Sjever: izv. prof. dr. sc. Božo Soldo, pred. Kos Željko, pred. Matija Orešković, pred. Aleksej Aniskin, a primili su ih prorektor za međunarodnu suradnju i znanstveni rad dr. teh. sci. Bratčenko Genadij Dmitrijevich, prorektor za nastavu dr. sc. Djačenko Aleksandr Feodosijevič, pročelnik katedre mjeriteljstva dr. teh. sci. Borjak Konstantin Fedorovič te viši znanstveni suradnik dr. sc. Bugaev Sergej Viktorovič.
