The invitation to the lecture "What is the European Union and what does it do for me?"

University North in co-operation with the European Commission on April 16, 2019, at 16:00 (UNIN2-110) within  the programme "Back to University", organizes a lecture titled "What is the European Union and what does it do for me?" . The lecture will be held by Vlado Cetl, phD.

What is the European Union (EU) and how it was established? How does the EU work? What has Croatia gained with the EU membership? What does the EU do for me and how does it affect our everyday life? Why are elections for the European Parliament important ? How much will the European elections affect our lives and how much can we  help  to shape the future of Europe? Brex and the migration crisis? What is the experience of working in European institutions in a multicultural environment?

New International Cooperation of the University North established through the ERASMUS+ KA103 Mobility

Associate Professor Petar Kurečić visited the University of Malta from April 4th to April 8th, 2019, performing the ERASMUS+ KA103 teaching mobility for the ongoing academic year. Prof. Kurecic was a guest of the Vice-Rector for International Cooperation and Quality Assurance, Professor Godfrey Baldacchino, one of the leading experts in small state research, with a special focus of his work given to small island states. Professor Baldacchino is also co-head of a UNESCO-funded co-chair established at the University of Malta and Prince Edward Island University (Canada), focused on island studies and sustainability.

University North presented the project "Internationalization of Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering at University North"

On April 9, 2019, University North, University centre Varaždin, Department of Mechanical Engineering, presented the project "Internationalization of the Master's Degree Program in Mechanical Engineering at University North". The aim of this project is to increase the mobility of students and teachers through the preparation of twenty courses of graduate university studies in mechanical engineering in a foreign language, the regulation of mobility infrastructure, the encouragement of outgoing students' and teachers' mobility and the promotion of a newly developed programme at specialized fairs of higher education.

The Festival of Science 2019 at University North

All parties  interested are invited to participate in the 17th Festival of Science organized by the British Council, the Technical Museum of Nikola Tesla from Zagreb and Croatian Universities, under the auspices of the Ministry of Science and Education, wich will be held from 8 to 13 April 2019 at the University  North. The topic of this year's Science Festival is "COLORS". The Science Festival is an opportunity for popularization of science, programs and projects of particular departments and scientists from different scientific fields of work.

Active cooperation between University North and Uzhhorod National University

On March 26, 2019. Asst. prof. dr.sc. Aleksej Aniskin, Erasmus + coordinator of the Department of Civil Engineering, University North held a working meeting with representatives of Uzhhorod National University in Uzhhorod, Ukraine. At the International Cooperation Department, participants discussed further perspectives for cooperation in a frame of the Erasmus+ program. In meeting participated Head of the Office for International Cooperation Oksana Svezhenceva and Erasmus+ Coordinator of the Department Tatyana Dashko.

After that, with the Vice-Rector for Scientific and Educational work Prof. DSc. Oleksandr Rogacha meeting was held, in which also participated Dean of the Economics faculty, Assoc. Prof. DSc. Vitaliy Serzhanov.

Erasmus+ KA107 meeting

On April 23, 2018 within the framework of Erasmus+ program, a meeting was held between vice-rector of Odesa State Academy of Technical Regulation and Quality for research and international relations Hennadii Bratchenko and Vice-rector for Teaching and Educational Work Oleksandr Diachenko and Rector of University North Marin Milković and Vice-rector for Scientific and Artistic Work and International Cooperation Anica Hunjet and Erasmus+ Program coordinator Aleksej Aniskin.

Announcement of new studies!

"Open Day“ is part of the promotional activities of the University North. This year was held on March 21 at the University Center Varazdin. Presentation about University was held for many high school students,  especially prospective students and for everyone who is interested in the work of the University. In addition to undergraduate study programmes implemented for many years, Vice-Rector for Academic and Student Affairs, Ph. D.  Vlado Tropša announced new programmes for the next academic year (2018/2019).

In the University Center Varazdin will begin undergraduate study programmes Mechatronics and Physiotherapy, while in the University Center Koprivnica will begin undergraduate study programmes in Food Technology, which is important in view of the strong food industry in our region. In addition to undergraduate study programmes, University North also opens new graduate studies Multimedia, Mechanical Engineering and Construction.
