General information

Teaching content and competencies
The Master study of Mechanical Engineering at the University North prepares students for the
mechanical engineering production process, which includes the development of a new product through
design, selection of optimal materials and manufacturing technologies, optimizing the production
process and marketing through the economic and environmental analysis of product life cycle. The study
integrates the disciplines of several fields of the mechanical engineering and is multidisciplinary
enriched with the professions of other fields so that students can be involved in the process of design
and production of the engineering products after graduation.
The aim of the Mechanical Engineering Master study is to realize the assumptions that the technical and
technological bases that exist in the local community, primarily quality companies with modern
machinery, appear on the European Union market through the design, production and marketing of
their own new products.

Career development opportunities
The two-year university Master study of Mechanical Engineering is intended for students who have
completed the same or related University undergraduate study, or undergraduate professional study -
by taking differentiated courses. Upon completion of the study, students will gain competencies for a
wide range of activities related to the field of mechanical engineering because mechanical engineers, in
addition to designing new mechanical products, design and construct machines, tools and devices in
many other industries.
After completing their studies, ambitious students can continue their education and enrol in doctoral
studies at any university, as well as engage in scientific and research work.
