MISSION STATEMENT
The Mission of University North is the training of competent professional personnel for the needs of the real economy and the health care system in the region of north-western Croatia through quality realization of professional and graduate studies according to the requirements of the Bologna Declaration. In the implementation of this objective University North is organized as a dynamic organization that continually monitors, implements and incorporates scientific and professional knowledge in the modernization of the existing and the development of new study programs, promotes the concept of lifelong learning and deepens and maintains relations with the business sector and collaboration with related higher education institutions in the country and abroad.
VISION STATEMENT
The Vision of University North is to be the leading educational, scientific, professional and socially responsible higher education institution for the education of personnel in the field of technical, economic, biomedical and healthcare, biotechnical and interdisciplinary sciences and in the field of art in north-western Croatia.
Students that graduate from University North are and will remain desirable and employable experts because of the high level and diversity of acquired knowledge and competencies, ready for independent and creative work in their profession. In its work, University North promotes the principles of quality in higher education, ethics, creativity, transparency, collaboration with other higher education institutions and good interpersonal relations above all.
QUALITY POLICY
University North with its undergraduate, graduate and postgraduate studies aims to meet the needs, requirements and expectations of students, the economy and the wider community. Its commitments are realized on the basis of the modern knowledge of the profession, available resources and programs and the principles of the European higher education area.
University North is being developed into a modern, European higher education institution that will be recognized for its teaching and professional achievements. With this purpose, we cooperate with other universities, colleges, polytechnics, institutions, and businesses on the continual improvement of educational processes and programs and on harmonization of curricula with the Bologna Declaration principles and with the generally accepted guidelines and standards in education.
The quality management system at University North is based on guidelines and standards of the ESG and ISO standards, and the documentation, monitoring and periodic review of study programs, student assessment, expertise and the quality of teaching and administrative staff, learning resources and student support, access to information and public information.
Efficient and effective teaching processes, systematic and team approach, continual improvement of all activities, the involvement of all stakeholders, especially the students, are the basic operating principles of the quality assurance system. The student is in the center of all activities at University North. It is essential to be familiar with our students’ opinion on the teachers, programs and the teaching mode, as well as the opinion of our graduates and their employers. In this recognition of their satisfaction we strive to take measures towards the improvement in order to overcome their expectations.
Through its activities, University North takes measures of transparency of work, independence, impartiality and preservation of the integrity of the University and its employees.
Therefore, it is very important to maintain consistent financial balance of business and raising standards of employees and conditions for carrying out the process of education, which is in line with the Development Strategy.
