Do not miss a guest lecture by Jeffery Renard Allen, a well-known American writer from the University of Virginia

On the occasion of the International Festival of Literature Galović's Autumn, which is held this year in Koprivnica from 23-28. October, University of North will host Jeffery Renard Allen, a well-known writer and professor of creative writing at the University of Virginia. Jeffery Renard Allen will hold a lecture on "Distortion: The Other Magical Realism" on Friday, October 26, at 4.30 pm in Koprivnica University Center (Hall A108).

In his lecture, a well-known writer and professor will be familiar with the issues of sexual violence described in the famous novel A Little Life (2015) by American author Hanya Yanagihar, who certainly represents a new form of radical aesthetics in America. For the sake of comparison, Jeffery Renard Allen will also deal with distortion, metanarrative and surrealism in music and video by Erykah Badu and Kendrick Lamar, and in the Get Out movies, known for the American television series The Wire and the humorous Random Acts of Flyness series.

The lecture is intended for students of journalism, as well as for all other interested students, teachers and the public.
